Urfuglen

“I walked out… I…
…it was in May or June and icening cold.
I walked up on a mountain… and stand and look… Thus I had a fine…[…]…
The light from the sky ‘grew out’, so one saw the Norwegian mountains.
I stood there and watched…I stood there and watched that mountain and nature, and then I discovered a bird who sat down there… a little bird just… who sat on a treetop.
And then began… and then I began to whistle and… and play… I could have got a different… different songs. That I cannot do now. I can’t get …[…]… lips… and jaws …[…]… together.”
